Mommy and Me Paper Dolls

When I was a little girl I remember my mom buying me a paper doll book at the store. She told me she remembered doing them when she was a little girl.

I loved them.

Such pretty dresses, so much fun!

Well, the other day as I was enjoying online museums, I found some vintage paper dolls!!

Because I’m a graphic artist I was able to touch up these old paper dolls and make them work for printing out.

We also created a giant adventure in a box pack that works for both boys and girls. Hours of activities, perfect for long drives, flights, or a rainy day.
Check the Adventure In A Box out here.

I immediately fell in love with the ball gowns, and the beautiful costumes.
And so did my daughter!!

One of the dolls is Jenny Lind.
If you’ve ever watched The Greatest Showman, you’ll know who she is.

Some of these gowns are her costumes from various operas.

Perhaps one day I will connect this little activity to the appropriate operas, but I haven’t got there yet.

For me it was such a fun opportunity on our weekend to do something creative with my daughter.
Those are precious moments where we can connect, share stories, talk about beauty, teach about art, opera, history. I love it.
Did you ever play with paper dolls?
